Autumn Term: Little Teds and Nursery

Autumn Term 1

Welcome to Little Teds and Nursery

The topic this half term is called Marvellous Me! Where we will be getting to know your children; their likes, interests and hobbies.  This will allow the Little Teds and Nursery staff to match learning opportunities and experiences to their fascinations and curiosities which makes settling in fun and exciting.

The staff will support the children in building relationships with both children and the adults within the setting.

Towards the end of this half term we will introduce Traditional Tales to our children and explore the world of fairy tales. We will look at familiar texts such as The Three Little Pigs, The Gingerbread Man and Three Billy Goats Gruff.

We will also be celebrating Diwali, The Festival of Light. The children will learn all about Indian traditions through food tasting, dancing, dressing up and crafts.

Little Teds and Nursery will be working together to support children in developing their learning through child initiated and adult led play, sustained shared thinking and small group work.
